Kampala, Uganda — Ssango Dalton, a Ugandan nurse and passionate poet, has been named the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Heart of Gold (HOG) Award as the Best Youth Charity Personnel of the Year. A dedicated humanitarian, Dalton has reached over 120 less privileged homes and supported 15 underserved schools across Wakiso District through his ongoing charitable work.
Combining his nursing skills with his love for humanity, Dalton has made significant impacts in some of the most remote communities, offering health care, basic needs, and educational support to vulnerable children and families. His work is a shining example of youth-led change and community empowerment in Uganda.
Dalton, who is also known for his inspirational poetry, continues to use his voice and profession to advocate for compassion, justice, and hope. His work proves that one individual, driven by purpose and heart, can transform lives.
